What it means:
Rate is the cost of moving through the hex. pace is per day. A hex is about 5 leagues.

Navigation is the DC to stay on course (worst DC of the day)
Landmark is the Navigation DC if you have a landmark to assist you (mountain on horizon etc)
Foraging is the DC to provide for food / 1 person.
Discovery is the base chance to find something of interest in a hex.
Base danger: each 4 hour block a d6 is rolled if the number shown is base or less that indicates an encounter occurs. Note that this number therefore equals the number of expected encounters in a day in the associated terrain.

Also note that travelling along roads and rivers make navigation moot. Roads also cut the required pace in half.

Pace:

Slow: : Advantage to perceive danger / Disadvantage to Hostile’s perception. Foraging normal. Navigation advantage. Movement slowed by 1/3 (2 foot 3 mounted)

Medium: Movement normal. Disadvantage to Foraging. (3 foot 5 mounted)

Fast: No forage. Disadvantage to perceive/ Advantage to hostile perception. Movement increased by 1/3. DC: 12 for exhaustion (+2 cumulative) (4 foot 7 mounted)

Exhaustion: costs 1 extra rate per hex per level of exhaustion of traveler.

Also note that not everyone has access to the hex map. Only those who have traveled the route in question (and mapped it) or have the appropriate background will have access to actual hex map.
Traveling in the wilderness without a guide can be a dangerous activity. Not quite the Oregon trail with goblins but bad enough.
Providing this information so you can make informed decisions about routes, risks and benefits of traveling.
