Waiting for Maru to arrive the party takes advantage of Marna's hospitality. She makes no bones about her hostility to Baern but whether that is the results of centuries old prejudices or his rough treatment and threats is difficult to parse. Her whispered advice (to both elves) is that they should slay her sisters least they entangle them in obligations or intrigue. After one night camping at the silver pool the shriveled husk of Lesfro's body is discovered by the pools edge. It is as if every bit of her life's essence was drained though no true explanation is apparent. Still missing is the other sister though Marna is convinced that Shiuske has offered her another gift and her devotion is now doubled. "He must protect our family's honor...how clever he is. We will marry in the elven capital in Krys once he fulfils his obligations..." For the time being she remains ignorant of the current state of affairs of the Elven court, but is able to provide guidance to the Tomb of Nomog (the resting place of the mace of order.) It is in the rough highlands to the west about a day and a half across the badlands. Getting there will not be a problem really though getting past the bones spear undetected may be a chore. They have two score riders but are a superstitious lot.

In the interest of being able to start quickly the next time we meet I thought I'd layout the "First encounter" of the next session to give folks time to discuss. Getting to the Valley will be a skill challenge. Good news: There is no doubt you will arrive! The question is "What kind of encounter you will face as you arrive at the valley?" Each failure will result in a portion of the forces of the Bonespears alerted to your presence and destination.

You'll need 2 successes plus one for every member of the party to end the challenge.

Skill attempts must be trained. Each PC can only use each trained skill once (either for assistance to grant advantage or for their own attempt.) It is for the players to advise (once we meet up) what skills they want to use and how it will help in covering the distance undetected. DC's will vary based on the circumstances but if you can explain how the skill is useful I'll probably allow an attempt. Critical failures will have significant story implications elsewhere. Though a critical success can either erase a fail or gain some other story award. Due to the laughing assassin, Ryan has inspiration in his pocket still. Spells (or special abilities) will generally work as single successes with only reasonable narration required.

On the 4th failure the challenge will end and result with a great deal of the bone-spear warband present to defend their Sacred valley. "LAW IS LAW."
