What we did on our vacation
Just a big OOC session recap here.
Things done:
1) Made our way through Corvid's hobgoblin tribe lands with escort. Found out that Maru is being haunted by the Skinwalker in his dreams. Found out that Saito et. al have been cursed by the Naga.
2) Made it to the bridge. Found out that human and elven slaves (likely from the fall of White Forest) are working to building fortifications along the northern side of the river for the hobgoblins.
3) Made it to the Oracle's shrine. Surprise! the oracle is Ma's Mabley's sister, and she thinks Maru is as attractive as her sister does (yow!). Encountered goblin tribes, but they weren't a factor as the party defeated a young red dragon (one of the three sisters). Means that as the party heads across the chalk hills, we'll have to keep our eyes on the sky in case the dragon(s) returns for revenge.
Things we found out:
1) Everyone wants to kill Shuiske, and some have a good reason. They want to kill him so much (his own clan, btw) that they've...
2) Tried to hire Saito to do the dirty work. Even with the promise of restoring both his personal and family honor, plus the honor of holding one the clan's most prestigious swords he refused (what a good (?) guy!).
3) The tome is in the Temple of Heironeous as suspected. It can be destroyed by fire. Doing that should leave behind some stones that need to be given to Shalimar (i think).
4) We can retrieve the mace that Corvid has requested. Though it is the hands of another Hobgoblin tribe.
Add anything I missed, or that you think is important

Re: What we did on our vacation
Clarifications: The mace (of Order) is buried in the tomb of the great hobgoblin warlord Nomog. Those with History or religion proficiency may understand that Nomog is revered by some tribes as the goblin deity of authority. This is certainly the case with the Bonespear tribes who control the surrounding areas of the chalk hills where the valley of the tomb is located. They shun the valley however fearing the wrath of Nomog. This may explain why they have not unearthed the mace from the tomb themselves and assumed leadership of all the war-born.
The "Prisoners with jobs" building fortifications are most likely from the fortress of the White Forest (a former crane clan holding) to the east. We also note that the Skin walker was wearing the guise of a petty noble from that house. (Arcana trained may realize that the skin would likely last only a season or so before the accumulation of minor wounds and scratches would make the skin unusable for disguise purposes.)
